About the event
The WBBA Annual Gala has been a vital fundraiser for our association’s ongoing initiatives for
over 50 years. The 2026 Gala will take place at Greentree Country Club overlooking the Long
Island Sound. The highlight of this black-tie optional event will be the presentation of awards
to three deserving individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to public service
throughout their careers. This year we will be honoring Judge Edwina G. Richardson, Senator
Jamaal T. Bailey, and former Senator Ruth Hassell-Thompson
